Parents
PG’n’S gladly invite parents of first time students to observe the first class their child participates in. However, after the first class, we do not permit ANY visitors to observe classes (this includes parents, siblings, friends, grandparents or relatives etc). There are several reasons for this …
It is very frustrating for both the teacher and the class as children are more likely to look at their parent than their teacher, hence they do not learn as they are constantly distracted
Children often misbehave if their parents are present and are unwilling to participate.
Dance is a creative outlet for children, their chance to be an individual.
Our studios become too crowded with students and parents
It is a burden when parents leave siblings to be ‘babysat’ whilst a class is in progress.
Teachers are NOT responsible for these extra children.
It also ruins the surprise of ‘Open Day’ and the Concert!
Please adhere to this policy, so that class teachers do not always have to remind you to leave the studio. If children cannot be separated from their parents, they are probably not ready to participate in classes at PG’n’S.
